PTC News Desk: Good Friday is a religious holiday observed by Christians around the world. It marks the day that Jesus Christ was crucified, and it is the day before Easter Sunday. It is a somber day of reflection and prayer, a time to remember the ultimate sacrifice Jesus made on the cross.

The Bible tells us that Jesus was betrayed by Judas Iscariot, arrested, and sentenced to death. He was then crucified on a cross, died, and was buried. Three days later, Jesus rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven. Thus, Easter Sunday celebrates Jesus’ victory over death.

Good Friday is a time for Christians to reflect on the immense sacrifice Jesus made for them. It is a day to remember Jesus’ suffering and death, and to take a moment to be grateful for the hope and joy that comes from His resurrection.

Many churches have special services on Good Friday, often featuring readings from the Bible and traditional hymns. Some churches also have a procession of the cross, in which the pastor carries a cross around the church.

Good Friday is also a day of fasting. Many Christians choose to fast, either completely or partially, as a way of showing their devotion to Jesus and to reflect on His sacrifice. This fasting is usually done in the morning and is broken after the service in the evening.

Good Friday is a solemn day of reflection and prayer, but it also serves as a reminder of the hope and joy that comes from Jesus’ resurrection. It is a day to remember the ultimate sacrifice Jesus made on the cross, and to be thankful for the gift of eternal life that He has given us.
