Running away from lie detector test proof of your guilt in 1984 genocide case – SAD to Tytler

-- Chandumajra asks Congress to expel Tytler from the party immediately Chandigarh, May 10 – The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) today said the manner in which senior Congress leader and 1984 anti- Sikh genocide perpetrator Jagdish Tytler was running away from subjecting himself to a lie detector test in the case was proof of his guilt as well as the complicity of the Congress party in the organised massacre of Sikhs. In a statement here, party mp and senior leader Prem Singh Chandumajra said Tytler knew he had met his nemesis and was trying to delay the inevitable by coming up with excuses on repeated court hearings to avoid undergoing a lie detector test. “Now a Delhi court has asked him to give an unambiguous reply on whether he wants to undergo a lie detector test with regard to the 1984 genocide after constantly being evasive and even challenging the test earlier saying it would amount to cruelty against him”. “Do you and your masters in the Congress high command who continue to give you political shelter even understand the meaning of cruelty?”, Mr Chandumajra asked Tytler. “How debased can you become? You are charged with leading a mob to the Pulbangash gurdwara in North Delhi which massacred three Sikhs on November 1, 1984. There are even eye witnesses to this barbarity. Even the Nanavati Commission found credible evidence against you in its report and reported as such. Now when the law of the land has caught up with you an attempt is being made by you to escape justice by coming up with vague excuses and even clauses like cruelty”. Mr Chandumajra said now it was up to the Congress high command to act in the matter. “Here is an accused who is openly refusing to join investigation in a murder and arson case. Tytler continues to have a sense of entitlement because he is a Congress functionary. It is absolutely essential that the Congress expel him from the party immediately. This will remove the crutches riding on which he hopes to elude justice”. Mr Chandumajra said the Congress high command however had a past record of sheltering and protecting Tytler because there was more to the case. “Former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi had encourage organised violence after the assassination of Indira Gandhi by stating that when a big tree falls the earth will shake. This is the reason why the Gandhi family has been unable to shake off Tytler till now and has even rewarded him with high posts, including Union ministries”. He said it was unfortunate that the malaise had spread to Punjab also with the Punjab Congress also giving a clean chit to Tytler in the 1984 mayhem. It is high time the party realized its mistake and expelled Tytler immediately”, he added. — PTC News
