Russia-Ukraine war: Rocket strike on Ukraine's Odesa causes death, injuries
Kiev (Ukraine), May 3: A rocket strike carried out by Russian forces hit Ukraine's southern city of Odesa on Monday, causing deaths and injuries, the head of the Odesa military administration Maksym Marchenko informed.
As per the operational command "South", missiles hit the city infrastructure, damaging a religious facility. Oleksiy Goncharenko, a Ukrainian lawmaker, later tweeted that a 13-year-old boy was killed and a 17-year-old girl was critically injured in the incident.
According to Interfax Ukraine, a security official in the port stated that five persons were in the residential building when the rocket struck.
As per the local media, the incident resulted in additional deaths and injuries.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the missile hit a dormitory.
"How did these children and the dormitory threaten the Russian state?" Zelenskyy stated in his nightly video address.
Earlier, Oleksiy Danylov, the secretary of Ukraine's Security Council, was quoted in the media as stating the strike also damaged a church, blowing the roof off.
