Ahead of Punjab Assembly elections 2022, Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal along with SAD and BSP candidates on Monday offered prayers at Sri Harmandir Sahib in Amritsar. While addressing the media persons in Amritsar, Sukhbir Singh Badal said that Punjab has lagged far behind in the last 5 years. "Punjab will develop under the SAD-BSP government as we are committed to the welfare of poor and labourers," he said. Commenting on Arvind Kejriwal's promises made in Punjab, the SAD president launched an attack on Delhi Chief Minister and asked him to implement his promises in Delhi first and then woo the voters in Punjab.
