School Bus Accident: Children who grew in these lap are today lying dead in them

Some of them had cooked food for their children to eat once they return from school; others might have lined up a tuition class or a grocery list to buy from the market in the evening- the vegetables, a share of the salary for the new clothes for the kids perhaps. They might have awaited another day to receive their children at a bus stop, or just looked at the clock and remind themselves, 'late ho gya aaj to, ayi nai abhi tak' Or maybe the grandparents awaited to bribe the children with chocolates so they could finish homework before playing outside with friends. Mothers of a few might have hid the T.V remotes, and fathers of others might have planned to bring home some sweets to celebrate the change in season. 27 innocent school children; all below the age of 15 were dropped in a gorge of death yesterday when the driver lost control of the school bus.

They died, their laughs expired, their dreams will only remain dreams now on.  Within no time, families lost their children, dreams of them growing up, of them walking inside the house on yet another day and asking for food, or complaining about how the teacher was not attentive in the class or maybe just hiding a maths notebook with less marks. A routine day for almost 23 families turned into an incident to remember all their lives. A favorite sweater, TV series, 'ma k hath ka panner' or a cricket bat, that's all the parents will now be left with, along with a question - Why my child? That favorite dish of their tiny one will not be cooked for a long time now, that room will always have a shadow of her hair, or a voice of his laugh. The clothes, they won't throw away, they can't keep too. These pictures below are painful enough to realize what the families are going through at the moment - May their soul rest in peace. -Written and Edited by Nimrat Kaur for PTC News
