Shocking! Covid-19 positive woman on oxygen faces rape attempt by ward boy
While Covid-19 related mismanagement has been shocking people across the nation, another horror has been reported from a private hospital in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior. The police has arrested a ward boy on the charges of allegedly attempting rape on a Covid-19 positive woman, who was on oxygen support.
According to the information, the incident took place at a private hospital on Sunday. The family members of the victim have alleged that despite their complaint, the management did not take any action and even assaulted them.

On the basis of the complaint, Kampoo Thana registered a case against Lotus hospital ward boy. The accused has been identified as Vivek Lodhi (25). The police has arrested him after booking a case against him under sections 376 and 354 of the Indian Penal Code.
Also, a family member of the victim accused the police of delaying the FIR. He claimed that the ward boy and hospital staff had assaulted them. The victim's brother-in-law said that his niece's treatment also has been stopped by the hospital.

However, the family has been demanding action on the hospital director Dr. Prashant Agrawal for being the mute spectator and hushing up the matter after their complaint.
The victim was admitted to the hospital after testing positive for Covid-19. The Covid-19 positive woman on whom the ward boy allegedly attempted rape, was on oxygen support as her oxygen level was 85 percent.
Meanwhile, the accused fled the scene after the woman opposed and raised an alarm.
