Sirsa out of his MLA salary grants one lakh each to families of 3 sewerage workers
The Shiromani Akali Dal and Bhartiya Janta Party Combine MLA Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa today announced, Rs. One lakh grant to the families of the three sewerage workers who died while cleaning a choked sewerage line in the city yesterday. Whats commendable is the fact that Sirsa has announced this amount of 3 lakhs from his MLA salary. Sirsa said, I was hurt knowing that the families of three people were going through very difficult times. He said that although he knows that one lakh rupees in this period of inflation is very low but he appealed to the public to help the suffered families as much as possible. He regretted that the government has taken a back seat from supporting them. —PTC News
