After online registration of land and property at SAS Nagar, Mohali, proved to be a success, six more districts will go online on February 9, 2018, said Dr.S.K.Raju, Secretary Revenue. The information was given at a meeting with the District Revenue Offices, DSMs, DIOs at Ferozepur where Ramvir Deputy Commissioner Ferozepur and Vineet Kumar, ADC and Naman Market were also present. Six more districts will go online for property registration from February 9 Ferozepur, Faridkot, Fazilka, Sri Muktsar Sahib, Moga and Bathinda will be among the six districts to go online for land registration of land property which will begin February 9 onwards. Punjab Government has begun online registration service in order to bring transparency in the purchase and sale of land/properties and provide better facilities to the people and make the process less time consuming, said S.K. Raju, Secretary Revenue. The details of the buyer and the seller will be recorded in the software, then they will forward these details to the office of the concerned Registrar. The software will also provide available time information to the Registrar and in the available slots, the purchasers and vendors can pick the suitable time. They will then be able to register their land property by visiting the concerned Tehsil office. He said that by registering online, when the details of the land regarding registration will be recorded online, then the software will determine the fee based on the automatic stamp duty, registration fee, and collector rate. The inclusion of this online registry project, the process of purchase of the land property will be completely transparent and there will be no problems to the people, who have to repeatedly visit in different offices of the revenue department for the registration. -PTC News
