IPL match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals in Dharamshala called off

PTC News Desk:  The IPL 2025 match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals was called off in Dharamshala on Thursday, May 8 following Pakistan's attack in several states adjoining international border. The match was halted after 10.1 overs while PBKS was batting on Thursday and had lost their first wicket. One of the floodlight towers went off and many felt it was a technical failure.

A complete blackout was observed in Dharamshala as the tensions along border escalated.

Several light towers were switched off and the crowd was also asked to leave the stadium. The decision follows Pakistan's multiple attacks at several locations in Jammu including the airport. Srinagar has also been put on high alert. One of the drones hit the Jammu airport, which prompted the fighter jets to scramble in response.
