Striking Monday! PRTC workers, doctors, unemployed teachers on strike against Punjab govt

It's Monday, a day of strikes in Punjab! From doctors, PRTC workers, government employees, Anganwadi workers to unemployed teachers, everybody is protesting against the Punjab government and recommendations of 6th Pay Commission. PRTC workers have also joined the strike demanding a hike in salaries and asking the government to make them permanent. The contractual employees of Punjab Roadways are staging 3-day protest in Amritsar over job regularisation. The government conducted a test in 2015 after which we were appointed as contractual employees." Health services hit as govt doctors in Punjab go on strike- The New Indian Express The government employees are also protesting against the decision of Punjab government and hence the government offices have been wearing deserted look for past few days. Similarly, Anganwadi workers, teachers and unemployed teachers are also on strike in Punjab. On the other hand, the farmers have been protesting against the rising fuel prices in the state. The petrol has crossed Rs 100 per litre mark in various districts of Punjab. -PTC News
