Minor raped in Punjab's Hoshiarpur, accused held
Hoshiarpur, March 12: In an alarming incident, a man has been arrested on Sunday for allegedly attempting to rape a 15-year-old girl in a village here, police said.
According to the information from police, the accused Pawan Kumar entered the victim's house when she was alone and harassed her. The incident happened in a village under Sadar police station on Friday, police said.

When the girl raised an alarm, some passersby came to her rescue, they said. The police said, a case has been registered under sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
