Video: Fight breaks out at Mumbai Apple store as iPhone 17 goes on sale
PTC Web Desk: The launch of Apple’s much-awaited iPhone 17 series on Friday witnessed massive turnouts at Apple Stores in Mumbai and Delhi. At the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) store in Mumbai, the rush briefly turned chaotic when a scuffle broke out between people waiting in line.
Security personnel had to intervene after two persons were seen exchanging blows, as captured in viral videos. The incident disrupted the queue momentarily before guards stepped in to restore order. The reason behind the altercation remains unclear.
Despite the commotion, the excitement among Apple fans remained undeterred. The iPhone 17 series, priced between Rs 82,900 and Rs 2,29,900, officially went on sale in India on September 19 for both pre-booked and walk-in buyers.
One of the first customers in Mumbai, Aman Memon, shared his enthusiasm: “I purchased three iPhones for my family and myself. The design and the new colour options are impressive. I’ve been waiting for this for six months and queued up since 3 am.”
