U19 Asia Cup 2019, Final: India vs Bangladesh, Will India retains the trophy?

The world was set for a nail-biting semi-final. The India Vs Sri Lanka and Afghanistan Vs Bangladesh line-up promised to be a nerve-wracker. What we got is an anti climax, our excitement, thoroughly dampened by rain. As the match was abandoned, India and Bangladesh were selected as finalists on the basis of their position in the points table.
At least, we have the final to look forward to. India Vs Bangladesh promises an interesting fight.

India is the undefeated, six-time Asia Cup champion while the Bangladesh team is raring to go with the young and emerging Bangla Tigers. Bangladesh has landed the finals for the first time in the history of U19 Asia Cup. This is the first time Bangladesh has been on top of the points table in their group, winning all league matches. This will be a litmus test for both. India, despite being the defending champions, can’t take Bangladesh for granted, as they haven’t been defeated by anyone in their group.

Bangla Tigers defeated runner-up of 2018 U19-Asia Cup, Sri Lanka by 42 runs. They scored a total of 273, including a spectacular ton by opener Mahmudul Hasan Joy and a half-century by Shamim Hossain. Joy scored 126 runs, including 12 boundaries and 2 sixes. Bangladesh’s bowling side is also formidable.
