Vigilance nabs PSPCL JE taking bribe
State Vigilance Bureau today arrested Junior Engineer (JE) of PSPCL for taking bribe.
Disclosing this here an official spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau said JE Kulwinder Singh posted at PSPCL sub-division Lahuka in Tarn Taran district was arrested on the complaint of Pritpal Singh of Village Kairon in Tarn Taran district.

The complaint has approached the VB and alleged that the above said JE was demanding Rs. 7,000 to replace his non-working domestic electricity meter.

After verifying his information, a Vigilance team laid a trap and the accused JE arrested on the spot while accepting bribe of Rs. 7,000 from the complainant in the presence of two official witnesses.

He informed that a case under Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against the accused at VB police station Amritsar and further investigation was under progress.
