Vikram Sahney to set up Skill University in Punjab
Vikramjit Sahney, international president of World Punjabi Organization & Chairman Sun Foundation on Thursday announced to set up Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Skill University in Punjab with the support of the Punjab Government.
The Skill University will impart various job-related skills including Electrician, welder; fitter; air-condition & refrigerator mechanic; IT; web designing, coding, graphic designing, solar panel technician, junior nurses and hospitality. The students will be provided jobs in Punjab and foreign countries like UAE, Canada, Europe, Japan, among others.
He is already running two World Skill Centres at New Delhi and Amritsar providing free skills and jobs to thousands of youth.
Sahney said that he has invited Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to give away job letters to 1,000 youth from Punjab trained by Sun Foundation on Baisakhi.

He is also running Swami Vivekanand Drug deaddiction centre & Rehabilitation centre at Amritsar and has announced that his NGO will set up Drug Rehab and skill centres in various districts of Punjab in collaboration with the Government of Punjab.
It is worth mentioning that Vikram Sahney provided help by sending over 1,000 oxygen concentrators and 2,000 oxygen cylinders to various districts of Punjab during the Covid-19 pandemic, apart from donating Mobile Covid Testing Ambulances.
