Nepal helicopter crash: 4 Chinese nationals among five killed in Air Dynasty helicopter crash in Nuwakot
Nepal helicopter crash: An Air Dynasty helicopter crashed in the Shivpuri area of Nepal's Nuwakot district on Wednesday, killing all five on board. The helicopter pilot was also killed in the crash.
Four Chinese passengers were killed, according to AFP, citing police.
Police recovered bodies from the crash site in Shivapuri Rural Municipality's Ward No. 7. However, one body has been charred beyond recognition.
According to Reuters, police spokesman Dan Bahadur Karki confirmed that all four passengers were Chinese nationals, three men and one woman, with the pilot being a Nepali man.
Karki stated that local residents noticed a fire coming from the forest and contacted authorities.
The incident occurred while the Air Dynasty helicopter, 9N-AJD, took off from Kathmandu at 1:54 pm and was on its route to Rasuwa from Kathmandu.
The helicopter lost communication three minutes after takeoff and crashed into a Himalayan forest in Nuwakot district's Shivapuri National Park, which is 57 kilometres from the capital.
