PM Modi and President Biden affirm strong India-US friendship as a force for global good
New Delhi, June 26: PM Modi hails India-US friendship as a global force for good, responding to President Joe Biden's tweet on the significance of their relationship. In the tweet, Biden emphasised that the friendship between the two countries is among the most consequential worldwide. Sharing a video montage from Modi's recent state visit to the US, Biden highlighted the strength, closeness, and dynamism of the bond.

In agreement with Biden's sentiments, PM Modi tagged him in a Twitter response, stating, "I fully agree with you, @POTUS @JoeBiden! Friendship between our countries is a force of global good. It will make a planet better and more sustainable." PM Modi further expressed his belief that the progress made during his recent visit would reinforce the bond between India and the US.
PM Modi's visit to the US took place from June 20 onwards, beginning with a momentous event at the UN Headquarters in New York to commemorate the International Day of Yoga on June 21.
Subsequently, in Washington DC, he received a warm welcome at the White House from President Biden. The two leaders engaged in a historic summit, followed by PM Modi's address to the US Congress and a state dinner hosted in his honor by the Bidens.
The visit witnessed the signing of significant agreements to enhance cooperation in crucial areas such as defense, space, and trade, marking notable milestones in the bilateral relationship between India and the US.
