Three Pak commandos amongst six killed in attack at paramilitary force headquarters in Peshawar

PTC News Desk: At least six people including three Pakistani commandos were killed and several others injured on Monday after a gunman attacked Pakistan's paramilitary force headquarters in Peshawar. The defence complex, the headquarters of the frontier constabulary paramilitary force, was also hit by two suicide bombers, news agency Reuters reported, citing sources.


According to the sources, the first suicide bomber carried out an attack on the main entrance of the constabulary, while the other one entered the compound. The three FC personnel were killed in the blast at the entrance, while the attackers died in the ensuing gunfight, police said.

The areas has been entirely cordoned off, however terrorists are suspected to be present inside the building. 

Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa IG Zulfiqar Hameed also confirmed the suicide bombings to Geo TV and said that the blasts took place at the Federal Constabulary Headquarters near Saddar area. "One explosion took place at the main gate and the other at the motorcycle stand. The motorcycle stand is located inside the gate," he said.
