Titanic tourist submarine goes missing; here's what we know so far
Missing Titanic tourist submarine: A small submarine which is used to take tourists to see the wreckage of the Titanic has gone missing in the Atlantic Ocean. It's also unclear where the submarine went missing in the ocean. The small sub had five people on board when it lost contact about an hour and 45 minutes into its dive on Sunday. Search operations are being carried out with teams racing against time to find the tourist submarine.
According to a report by the Independent, the missing submarine now has only 70 hours of air left.
According to David Concannon, an OceanGate advisor, the submersible had a 96-hour oxygen supply starting at about 6 a.m. Sunday.
Concannon informed the Associated Press that he was supposed to participate in the dive but was unable to do so owing to another client matter.
Officials were working to get a remotely operated vehicle capable of reaching a depth of 6,000 metres (nearly 20,000 feet) to the site as quickly as possible, he said.
The submarine can carry up to five people to see the shipwreck.

The 58-year-old British businessman is an aviator, a space tourist, and chairman of Dubai-based Action Aviation. Harding on Sunday took to Instagram and said he was proud to join the OceanGate Expedition for their RMS TITANIC Mission as a mission specialist going down to the Titanic.
According to a report by Reuters, another tourist believed to be on board is Pakistani businessman Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman.
Dawood is the vice chairman of Engro Corporation, one of Pakistan's largest conglomerates with investments in fertilisers, vehicle manufacturing, energy, and digital technology. He resides in Britain with his wife and two children, according to the website of SETI, the California-based scientific institute of which he is a trustee.
According to several newspapers including The Australian, Stockton Rush is also on board, He is the founder and chief executive officer of OceanGate.
French pilot Paul-Henry Nargeolet is said to be on board according to The Australian.
