Trump sought 2-week window to decide on attack: What made him strike on Iran in 2 days ?

PTC News Desk: On June 20, President Donald Trump requested "two weeks" to decide on a potential military strike against Iran. However, just two days later, U.S. aircraft launched powerful bombs at three key Iranian nuclear sites. What triggered this sudden shift in approach? Satellite imagery may provide some answers.

Of the three targeted sites, Iran’s Fordow nuclear enrichment facility—located around 120 km southwest of Tehran—is considered the most critical due to its fortified position 80 to 90 meters beneath a mountain. On June 19, satellite images showed 16 cargo trucks stationed along the access road leading to the tunnel entrance of the facility. By the following day, most of those trucks had moved about a kilometer northwest, while new vehicles, including additional trucks and bulldozers, appeared near the entrance—one truck was parked directly next to the tunnel.

Since Israel began its airstrikes on Iran on June 13, experts have examined numerous high-resolution satellite images of the Fordow site. Until the latest set of images, none had shown any unusual ground activity.

On June 20, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that he would make a decision within "two weeks" on whether to support Israel in launching strikes against Iran. However, U.S. airstrikes were carried out just two days later, suggesting that the action may have been accelerated to stop Iran from relocating its nuclear materials to undisclosed sites. According to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Iran has enriched uranium at its Fordow facility to 83.7 percent purity—just shy of the 90 percent threshold required for nuclear weapons production.
