Youth gets 7 years in jail for raping minor in Muzaffarnagar
A 26-year-old man was sentenced to seven years in prison for abducting and raping a 15-year-old girl in 2014 in Muzaffarnagar. A special POCSO court pronounced this verdict on Wednesday morning.

Additional District Judge, Ram Sudh Singh, found the accused, Virender Kumar, guilty of the charges pressed against him. He was found guilty of offences under Sections 376 (rape) and 363 (kidnapping) of the Indian Penal Code and POCSO Act.
Besides, imprisonment, the court also fined him Rs 30,000. The court further ordered that half of the amount will be given to the victim. Also Read: Punjab and Haryana grants bail to Asaram’s son in attempt to murder case
Back on July 7, 2014, the accused abducted the victim from her house when her parents were not present and later he raped her. -PTC NEWS
