'Mirzapur' back with season 3? ‘More masala, flavour,’ Ali Fazal says finally we are back

Mirzapur Season 3: Known for its gritty portrayal of crime, power struggles, and politics in the fictional town of Mirzapur, 'Mirzapur Season 1 & 2' is a cliffhanger and it left the viewers wondering about the future of some of their beloved characters. 

The second season delves deeper into the dynamics between the characters, introducing new alliances and conflicts, as well as expanding on the consequences of past actions. With its intense plotlines, complex characters, and dramatic twists with some questions which left unanswered such as why Kaleen Bhaiyya (Pankaj Tripathi) was saved by Sharad (Anjum Sharma)? What will be his fate?

The answers to such various mysteries might see the light as Ali Fazal has confirmed that the beloved series is returning with more "masala".

At a Prime Video event in Mumbai on Tuesday, the cast of 'Mirzapur,' including Shweta Tripathi, Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Rasika Dugal, and Vijay Varma, came together once again. During the event, they all voiced their enthusiasm for the forthcoming third season of the show.

Ali Fazal said, "Finally we are back and there's more masala in it (3rd season)."

He also shared that the third season will have "flavour" as its maiden season. He said that while the audience will be introduced to new characters, they will bid goodbye to some old ones.

'Mirzapur'series is set in the lawless land of Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, and revolves around crime, power struggles, and politics among mafia dons and other influential individuals. The story follows the intertwined lives of several characters, including the ruthless Kaleen Bhaiya, his son Munna, and two brothers Guddu and Bablu, who become embroiled in the violent world of drugs, guns, and power.

The web series was released on November 16, 2018. The release date of the third season has not been announced yet.
