Peshawar, October 30: A 34-year-old Indian mother of two, who had traveled to Pakistan to marry her Facebook friend, is set to return to India after receiving clearance from the Pakistani government.

In August, Pakistan extended the visa of Anju, now named Fatima after her conversion to Islam and marriage to Nasrullah. Nasrullah, her Pakistani husband, stated, "We are awaiting the No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the interior ministry in Islamabad, which is a time-consuming process."

Once the necessary documents are finalised, Anju will travel to India to reunite with her children. Nasrullah affirmed, "She will certainly come back, as Pakistan is her home now."

Nasrullah had previously mentioned that Anju was struggling with emotional distress and longing for her children, whom she left behind in India. Anju and Nasrullah, who became friends on Facebook in 2019, married on July 25. Prior to this, Anju had been married to Arvind, a resident of Rajasthan, and they share a 15-year-old daughter and a six-year-old son.
