100 per cent we will form the government in Karnataka, says BS Yeddyurappa
BJP’s BS Yeddyurappa at Governor’s house to stake claim to form the government in Karnataka.
“We are going to meet the governor. We are the single largest party. We are very happy with the verdict,” Yeddyurappa told the reporters. He said he will meet the governor at 5 pm. However, it was not clear whether the party has sought an appointment with the governor or not. Earlier Governor Vajubhai Vala had canceled all appointments until all the numbers were out.

There has been a big twist in Karnataka even as votes are being counted on Tuesday. Despite the Bharatiya Janata Party emerging as the biggest party in Karnataka, it’s the Congress, placed second on the podium, that has played the masterstroke by offering the chief minister’s post to JD(S) state chief HD Kumaraswamy. The JD(S) has accepted the Congress’s offer.
