More than 16,000 litres of illicit liquor seized in Delhi
Nearly 94 kg of narcotics and 16,500 litres of illicit liquor have been seized in Delhi in different raids since March 10. The raids started soon after the Model Code of Conduct for the general elections came into force.

The liquor and narcotics have been seized under the Code of Criminal Procedure and Delhi police act violation. Also, 13,100 people have also been booked under CrPC and Delhi police act violation. The raids are being conducted ahead of elections in Delhi on May 12.
According to media reports, more than 80 FIRs have been registered under the Arms Act and more than 90 people have been arrested so far. More than 240 FIRs have been registered for the violation of the Central Excise Act. Out of 240, four FIRs have been registered against different political parties.

Besides this, more than 90,000 hoardings, banners and posters have been removed from all over Delhi. Out of these, more than 30,000 were removed from New Delhi Municipal Council alone.

The poll body official told that 77,05,537 men and 62,82,366 women will cast their votes in the 17th Lok Sabha elections in Delhi.
