48 trains cancelled , 20 delayed due to dense fog
Several parts of North India including Delhi and the adjoining National Capital Region were engulfed in dense fog as temperatures continue to plummet today.
The northern states were reeling under a piercing cold wave with many places in Jammu and Kashmir recording sub-zero temperatures.
Poor visibility had severely affected all three modes of communication, rail, road and air, disrupting daily lives.
At least 48 trains were cancelled while 20 trains were delayed as fog enveloped in parts of north India today.
According to a Railway spokesperson, at 6 am, 48 trains stood cancelled, 20 were delayed due to poor visibility.
