Haryana: Vigilance team arrests patwari, munshi in bribery case

Chandigarh, June 7: Haryana State Vigilance Bureau on Tuesday arrested a Patwari and his private munshi in a bribery case.



On Tuesday, the State Vigilance Bureau informed that Harbant Singh, Halka Patwari and his private munshi Anil Kumar were apprehended on the complaint of Vikram Singh, a resident of Khurana Road, Kaithal for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 2,000.

The complainant approached the vigilance when both accused demanded a bribe in exchange for providing a copy of intkaal.

A case has been filed against both the arrested accused under the Prevention of Corruption Act at the Bureau's police station in Ambala. The investigation is underway into the matter.
