PM Modi pays tribute to Manohar Parrikar
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today paid tributes to Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar who passed away on Sunday. Prime Minister today flew to Goa and paid his last respect to the great leader. He met Parrikar's family members and offered his condolences to them. Besides Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman also met Parrikar's family members.

Also, BJP President, Amit Shah has also reached the coastal state. He also took part in the funeral procession of the late leader. The late Chief Minister's body was kept at the Kala Academy to allow the public to pay their tributes.
The mortal remains of Manohar Parikar were kept at the BJP head office in Panjim. Goa state will be observing seven-day mourning to grieve the loss. The Centre had already announced national mourning on March 18.

Manohar Parikar passed away at the age of 63. He was battling a pancreatic ailment since last year. He breathed his last at his residence on Sunday evening. According to media reports, he had been to the hospital since February. He had undergone treatment for his pancreatic ailment in the United States and in Delhi.
