10 private schools in Mohali receive bomb threat , students sent home

After the threats were received, school authorities immediately evacuated the premises as a safety measure.

PTC News Desk: At least 10 private schools in Punjab's Mohali district received bomb threat on Wednesday, triggering panic among the students and parents. 


As a preventive measure, all the students were sent home and Punjab govt directed closure of schools for today.


After the threats were received, school authorities immediately evacuated the premises as a safety measure.

A team of police officials and bomb disposal squad were rushed to the spot to check the buildings. The affected schools include YPS Mohali, Learning Paths School, Manav Mangal School, Shivalik Public School, Paragaon Senior Secondary School and Infinite Jesus School.



Mohali District Education Officer Dr Ginni Duggal said that no government school in the district has reported receiving any threat so far. However, she confirmed that 8 to 10 private schools in Mohali have informed her about threatening emails.
