Punjab Police announces major reshuffle: 133 ASP and DSP-rank officials transferred across state
Reorganisation includes newly inducted IPS officers, those awaiting their first assignments after basic training, and officers recently promoted to the DSP rank
PTC Web Desk: In a significant administrative exercise, the Punjab Police have implemented a large-scale reshuffle involving 133 officers of ASP and DSP rank across districts and specialised units in the state. The move, as per the official notification, aims to enhance operational efficiency, improve coordination between various wings, and strengthen district-level policing.
According to the statement, “A major reshuffle of ASP and DSP-rank officers has been undertaken in the Punjab Police. Transfer and posting orders have been issued for 133 officers.” The reorganisation includes newly inducted IPS officers, those awaiting their first assignments after basic training, and officers recently promoted to the DSP rank.
