Weather update: Dense fog predicted in Chandigarh, parts of Punjab

Punjab weather update: India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted dense fog in Chandigarh and several parts of Punjab for Saturday.

According to the weather department, dense fog is likely in parts of S.A.S Nagar, Mansa, Patiala, Fatehgarh Sahib, Bathinda, Fazilka, Sri Muktsar Sahib, Ludhiana, Rupnagar, SBS Nagar, Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Hoshiarpur.

Meanwhile, a scientist at IMD Chandigarh reported that the temperature dropped and humidity was high on Thursday, increasing the possibility of dense fog, particularly near open fields and isolated roads in the early morning.

This season, the city has yet to experience dense fog, and visibility was unaffected even on Friday. While dense fog usually appears in the second half of December, weather experts believe it may appear earlier this year due to Thursday's rain.
