Most wanted gangster 'Amrit Dalam', linked to Jaggu Bhagwanpuria, detained at Moldova border
PTC News Desk: Amritpal Singh, also known as Amrit Dalam, a most-wanted gangster linked to the Jaggu Bhagwanpuria gang, has been detained at the border of Moldova following an Interpol Red Notice issued at the request of Punjab Police in coordination with central agencies.
Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav, said Amritpal Singh is wanted in several serious criminal cases in the state and had been hiding abroad for a long time. He added that the detention was possible due to continuous international coordination and follow-up by Punjab Police with global law enforcement agencies.
Police said the Overseas Fugitive Tracking Cell (OFTEC) of Punjab Police is currently tracking 61 fugitive gangsters hiding in different countries. Officials added that the detention of Amrit Dalam is an important step in ongoing efforts to locate and bring back criminals who have fled overseas to avoid arrest.
