Breaking News: Youth Olympic Games: India gets two Silver medals on day 1

After shooter Shahu Tushar Mane gave India silvery start with second position finish in 10 m Air Rifle competition, judoka Tababi Devi Thangjam won a silver in 44 kg for the second silver of the day in the 3rd Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires on Sunday.

It was a splendid start for India with two Silver medals on the first day with hockey teams, both men an women, recording convincing wings in Hockey 5s competition.

Tababi Devi Thangjam, who won all her three rounds on way to the gold medal contest, lost narrowly to her Venzuelan opponent, Maria Gimenez, in the final.

It has been India's best ever performance on opening day of any of the three editions of Youth Olympic Games.
