Assembly elections 2022 Highlights: With the political scenario in five states — Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa, and Manipur — heating up, the political parties are gearing for the mega contest.
Aam Aadmi Party announced Bhagwant Mann as its chief ministerial candidate for the Punjab Assembly elections 2022. Punjab will go to the polls in a single phase on February 20 and the counting of votes will take place on March 10.

On the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually interacted with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers in his parliamentary constituency Varanasi, in poll-bound Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday.

A meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) core committee on the Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls was held on Monday where discussions took place on possible seat-sharing with alliance partners.
