Blast at leaking Mexico oil pipeline kills 21 and injures 71 At least 21 people were killed and 71 others were injured after a oil pipeline exploded on Friday night in Mexico. According to the media reports, the oil pipeline was ruptured by the fuel thieves. As people were trying to fill up their containers, it exploded. People from the nearby areas were putting their lives at risk while trying to fill their containers. Suddenly it caught fire and later exploded. It engulfed the people who were filling their containers.
The military, ambulances and fire brigades reached the spot. The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals. More than 70 people have been admitted to the hospitals with serious burns injuries.
