Body of missing 7-year-old Sehajpreet found from a canal
Ludhiana, August 21: The body of seven-year-old boy, Sehajpreet was recovered from Doraha canal near Harnampura village in Ludhiana on Sunday morning.
The victim, Sehajpreet was a resident of Abdulapura Basti, Ludhiana and was missing since August 18 night.

Sehajpreet’s paternal uncle identified as Swaran Singh has been found the prime murderer in the case and confessed that he had allegedly pushed the boy into the canal.
Since the child went missing, accused was in police custody and after hours of questioning, he confessed to having killed the child.
Meanwhile, the family lodged the missing complaint of the child on August 18.
When the police scanned the CCTV footage of nearby areas, the suspect was spotted near Jalandhar Bypass.

Raju, a relative of the deceased, said police had taken Swaran Singh to the canal where he told the exact point where he pushed the boy into the canal. The divers then fished out the body.
