Captain Amarinder calls on BJP's Gajendra Shekhawat, speculations rife over alliance

Amid talks of an alliance with the BJP for the Punjab Assembly elections 2022, former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh met Union Minister Gajendra Shekhawat in New Delhi on Friday.

Gajendra Shekhawat, also the BJP's Punjab in-charge, had met Captain Amarinder Singh in Chandigarh earlier this month.

After resigning as the Punjab CM, Captain Amarinder had quit the Congress and floated his own party named Punjab Lok Congress. The Punjab Assembly elections are due in 2022.
