Captain Amarinder Singh to now lead dharna at Jantar Mantar instead of Rajghat
Dharna of Congress MLAs against Punjab Power Crisis: Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh will now lead a dharna along with his MLAs and Cabinet colleagues at Jantar Mantar on Wednesday. The dharna was scheduled to be held at Rajghat, however, the Delhi Police requested to not stage protest at Rajghat.
The Chief Miinister Captain Amarinder Singh will interact with the mediapersons at 12:30 pm on Wednesday at Jantar Mantar, where he will reach after paying respect to the Father of the Nation at Rajghat at 12 pm.
Dharna of Congress MLAs, earlier scheduled to be held at Rajghat, has now been shifted to Jantar Mantar on the request of Delhi Police, in view of various security restrictions in place in the national capital.

The Chief Minister on Tuesday announced that he would lead a relay dharna of Congress MLAs at the Rajghat highlighting the Punjab's "power crisis and critical essential supplies" situation.
The Centre's has refused to allow the movement of goods trains in Punjab due to farmers protest.

The Chief Minister also said that Punjab had run out of coal, urea and DAP due to the decision of suspending the movement goods trains even after the farmers eased their blockade to allow such movement.
Reportedly, the crisis that resulted in shutdown of all power plants, the Chief Minister said that he had decided to hold a "symbolic relay dharna" to bring the state's situation to the Centre's notice.
The Chief Minister had earlier failed to get an appointment with President Ram Nath Kovind on the agriculture-related amendment Bills.
