CBSE Board Exam for Class 10 and 12, scheduled for July 1-15, cancelled

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to cancel the pending Class 10, 12 board examinations, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta informed the Supreme Court. The CBSE Board told the Supreme Court that exams of Class 10 and 12 have been cancelled. Solicitor General (SG) Tushar Mehta said that as soon as conditions will be conducive, we could conduct the CBSE class 12 examinations for students who opt for it. Similarly, the ICSE board would cancel class 10 and 12 board exams. However, ICSE doesn't agree to give the option to students to write an exam later, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta informed Supreme Court. The exams were scheduled to be held from July 1 to July 15. Amid coronavirus outbreak, the parents and students associated with the CBSE Board had appealed to the Supreme Court to cancel the pending CBSE exams 2020.
