India reports highest-ever single-day spike with 13,000+ coronavirus cases

India reported the highest single-day spike of 13,586 new coronavirus cases and 336 deaths in the last 24 hours, as of Friday morning. Meanwhile, the total number of positive cases has increased to 3,80,532 including 1,63,248 active cases, 2,04,711 cured and discharged and 12,573 deaths, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said. Of new cases, Maharashtra reported 3,752 cases followed by Tamil Nadu, which reported 2,141 cases of coronavirus in last 24 hours. Likewise, Delhi reported 2,877, Gujarat 508, Uttar Pradesh 589, Rajasthan 315, West Bengal 435, Madhya Pradesh 182, Haryana 386, Karnataka 210, Andhra Pradesh 447, Bihar 83, Telangana 352, Jammu and Kashmir 149. Similarly, 172 cases in Assam, 174 in Odisha, 118 in Punjab, 97 in Kerala, 79 in Uttarakhand, 82 in Chhattisgarh, 25 in Jharkhand, 20 in Tripura, 49 in Goa, 54 in Manipur, 26 in Himachal Pradesh, 6 in Chandigarh, 26 in Puducherry, 9 in Mizoram, 4 in Arunachal Pradesh, 1 in Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
