Coronavirus: India reports 60,471 daily new cases in 24 hours; lowest after 75 days
Coronavirus India Updates: India on Tuesday reported 60,471 daily new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, the lowest after 75 days. The daily recoveries continue to outnumber the daily new cases for the 33rd consecutive day.
According to the coronavirus updates given by the Union Health Ministry, India on Tuesday reported 60,471 new COVID-19 cases, 1,17,525 discharges and 2,726 deaths in last 24 hours.

With this, the total number of coronavirus cases in India has increased to 2,95,70,881 while the total discharges have reached 2,82,80,472.

The death toll in the country has gone up to 3,77,031 while the active cases stood at 9,13,378 . As of now, a total of 25,90,44,072 people have been administered COVID-19 vaccines.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 38,13,75,984 samples have tested for COVID-19, up to June 14, 2021. Of these, 17,51,358 samples were tested on Monday.
The Ministry of Health stated that recovery rate increases to 95.64 percent while the weekly positivity rate drops to less than 5 percent which is currently at 4.39 percent.
The daily positivity rate has increased to 3.45 percent, less than 5 percent for 8 consecutive days.
