Coronavirus: India's Active Caseload declines to 6,43,194; lowest in 82 days
Coronavirus India Updates: The daily COVID-19 recoveries continue to outnumber the daily new cases for the 41st consecutive day as India reported 68,817 in the last 24 hours.
According to the coronavirus updates given by the Union Health Ministry, India reported 50,848 new COVID-19 cases, 68,817 discharges, and 1,358 deaths in the last 24 hours.

With this, the total number of coronavirus cases has increased to 3,00,28,709 while total discharges have gone up to 2,89,94,855.

The death toll in the country has reached 3,90,660 while active cases stood at 6,43,194.
The Health Ministry stated that India reported 50,848 new cases in the last 24 hours while the active caseload has gone down to 6,43,194, the lowest in 82 days. The recovery rate has increased to 96.56 percent while the daily positivity rate is at 2.67 percent.
As per the government sources, India reported 40 cases of the Delta Plus variant of the novel coronavirus, most of the cases are from Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu. It is still a variant of interest, it added.
India administered 54.24 lakh vaccine doses in the last 24 hours while 29.46 crore vaccine doses administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive.
