Mutant Coronavirus Strain: As India-UK flights resumed partially, an Air India flight from the UK with 256 passengers on board landed in the national capital on Friday. Delhi government led by Arvind Kejriwal has announced a slew of measures in the wake of Covid strain in India. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, while sharing the order issued by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority, said: "To protect Delhiites from exposure to the virus from the UK, the Delhi government takes important decisions." "All those arriving from the UK, who test positive will be isolated in an isolation facility. Negative ones will be taken to a quarantine facility for 7 days followed by 7 days of home quarantine," he added. Meanwhile, strict surveillance will be kept on persons who will be kept in home quarantine after completion of mandatory institutional quarantine. The order issued by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority will be applicable on a trial basis for a period of one week i.e January 14, 2021.
