Denmark’s billionaire lost his three children in Sri Lanka blasts
Denmark’s billionaire Anders Holch Povlsen and his wife lost three of their four children in the Easter Sunday attacks in Sri Lanka. According to media reports, the family was on holiday in Sri Lanka. One of his daughters uploaded a photograph of her three siblings enjoying a day out in front of palm trees which was geotagged in Sri Lanka.
Anders Holch Povlsen (46) is the owner of fashion firm Bestseller, which includes brands like Vero Moda and Jack & Jones, and is the majority stakeholder in online retailer Asos, while also holding a big stake in Zalando. He is also the largest landowner in Scotland. Forbes said he owns more than 1 per cent of all the land in Scotland.
Seven bombers of the local extremist group, National Thowheed Jamath (NTJ) were responsible for a series of eight devastating blasts that ripped through churches and luxury hotels in Sri Lanka. During these blasts, more than 290 people were killed and more than 500 others were injured.

While condemning the barbaric terror act on the telephone, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered help to Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena and Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe. He further said that these acts were cold-blooded and pre-planned. They were another grim reminder of the most serious challenge posed to the entire humanity by terrorism.
