Dharnas at Punjab toll plazas continued on Wednesday even as farmers had earlier announced to lift blockades after the repeal of the three farm laws.
Farmers said after they announced to lift the dharnas at the Punjab toll plazas, the authorities planned to increased the rates. The toll plazas in Punjab have been blocked since September/October last.

Sources claimed that the toll tax rates had been revised at all toll plazas. "It is still not clear as to from which date the revised toll tax will be charged," the sources added.
BKU (Ugrahan) leader Joginder Singh Ugrahan said farmers would continue to lay seige to the toll plazas if the rates were doubled.He had recently uploaded a video on Facebook announcing their decision.

On the other hand, the toll plazas located on highways in Haryana have resumed operations. The toll companies resumed operations after the farmers protesting under the banner of the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM), an umbrella body of farm unions, ended their protest.

As per reports from various parts of Haryana, the toll plazas have been reopened with revised rates in charges for heavy vehicle, including buses, trucks, and multi-axle vehicles.
