Dharwad building collapse: Death Toll mounts to 14
The death toll in Karnataka’s Dharwad building collapse has risen to 14 on Friday as the rescue operation continued for the fourth day. The under-construction building collapsed on Tuesday. The Karnataka Chief Minister, HD Kumaraswamy, visited the site on Thursday. He told the media that many people were trapped under the debris of the collapsed building.

National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) teams are engaged in the rescue operation. A special 25 member NDRF team from Lucknow has been called for the rescue operation. A five-member team of experts from Bengaluru has reached the spot.

On Wednesday, the Indian Air Force airlifted two teams of the NDRF to Karnataka’s Hubli from Hindon in Uttar Pradesh to join the existing teams in their rescue operation.
