Encounter between security forces and terrorists underway in Sopore
An encounter broke out between security forces and militants in Sopore in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday morning. The encounter broke out in Warpora area of Sopore in Baramulla district.

Security forces got input about the presence of militants in the area. Acting on the input, militants launched a search operation. Militants fired at the forces. To which the forces retaliated and a gunfight broke out.

Earlier on Monday, security forces had killed the mastermind of the Pulwama terror attack along with two other terrorists of Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM).
