Ex-IAS, Army officers extend support to 'Kisan Sansad'

Kisan Sansad: The Kirti Kisan Forum comprising retired IAS, IPS, and Army officers on Friday extended its support to the ongoing farmers’ protest at Jantar Mantar in the national capital. The forum members said the farmers had been raising their issues in a peaceful manner. On the occasion, the retired officers paid homage to hundreds of farmers who died during the ongoing farmers' protest. They also condoled the untimely demise of Jugraj Singh Gill, former chairman of the Mandi Board. Farmers have been protesting against the Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020; the Farmers Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and farm Services Act 2020 and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020. -PTC News
