G20 Summit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday held the bilateral talks with the US President Donald Trump ahead of the formal inauguration of the G20 Summit in Osaka, Japan. PM Narendra Modi and Donald Trump discussed the key issues which include trade, defence and 5G communications networks, meeting after Japan-America-India trilateral meet.

This was the first meeting of PM Modi and US President after the massive victory in Lok Sabha Elections 2019 with a huge margin. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that he wants to discuss some key issues like trade, defence and 5G communications networks. Also, Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked the US President Donald Trump for his “love towards India” in a letter received by the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who visited India recently.

Taking to the twitter, PM Narendra Modi said and I quote, “The talks with @POTUS were wide-ranging. We discussed ways to leverage the power of technology, improve defence and security ties as well as issues relating to trade. India stands committed to further deepen economic and cultural relations with the USA. @realDonaldTrump”.
