Heavy police force deployed in Mohali, Chandigarh ahead of PM Modi’s proposed visit

Chandigarh, August 24: 

Security has been tightened in Chandigarh and Mohali ahead of Prime Minister proposed Narendra's Modi's visit on today. Section 144 has been imposed, and besides creating no fly zone. No one will be allowed to carry arms and ammunition in Chandigarh on August 24.

He will inaugurate the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Center at New Chandigarh Mullanpur. The central government has built it at a cost of 660 crores. This hospital with a capacity of 300 beds will be equipped with modern cancer treatment facilities. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Modi will address the Jan Sabha after inaugurating this hospital built in New Chandigarh-Mohali. Meanwhile, they can also give some other gifts to Punjab. This is the Prime Minister's first visit to Punjab after the power shift to AAP. This hospital will bring big relief for the Malwa region of Punjab, which is struggling with cancer. Apart from this, more announcements are expected from the Prime Minister's visit to Punjab. Modi will reach the airport here at around 1.15 pm. After this, they will arrive by road for the inauguration of the hospital.

Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital has a capacity of 300 beds. OPD of Surgical Oncology, Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Preventive Oncology, Anesthesia has been started in it. Apart from this, modern facilities like MRI, CT, Mammography, Digital Radiography etc. are also available here. The center also offers chemotherapy and topical surgery for biopsy and day care for minor OTs.Also Read |
